Another blown turbo - why?
I have a 307 110bhp (04 plate) which has had ongoing issues with the Anti pollution light.
About a week ago I had a new (well, reconditioned with warranty) turbo fitted. I wasn't happy and took it back, it just wasn't driving properly. They said it was just muck / particles from the blown turbo going through and out of the system, they told me they had given it a good clean through and recomended that I just had to drive it to get rid of the crap.
So I did, aprox 60 miles later and still not power I checked and there was a blown pipe. Replaced this (aprox £150) but still the problem has continued.
I have a feeling that I have blown this new turbo too. Another mechanic has said if they didn't clean the filters and they blocked this would have prevented the oil getting round and potentially caused the problem.
Has anyone any ideas about this? My feeling is that the garage is culpable as I don't think they did anything when I originally took it back.
Am feeling a bit stuck as I really don't have the money to be buying another turbo.
