My tilt and turn window has become stiff on the fully TURN opening position, in fact it will only open around 6inches and then you can feel the resistance, also when in the TILT mode the opening cannot fully operate - about half opening.
Any clues to what is causing this?

Thanks for the tip! I thought I was going to have to call out an expensive glazier, but this did the trick. Thanks

Hi there, I've just done this to my Dad's window. DOH! I noticed your post whilst guiltily looking for an answer. Last time My Mum did it the Expensive window fitter said that only a Woman could get one of these stuck... (BLUSH)
Anyway, my Dad watched him do it and after about an hour of remembering he did it...
Say the handle is on the left. look next to that on the actual window. there is the big locking latch wich should be closed and flush, then above that about a 2" block which sits proud about 1cm? there's a screw in the middle on mine but hopefully they all are similar..
just to the edge of this is a black flappy tab which you can gently depress with your finger, this unlocks the handle so that you can move it into one position or another whilst depressing it...
Sod's law says it's not here on your window but chances are it's near the handle.. and it's noticable as a leaf thin springy tab thing...
Chances are you've paid someone to do it but hopefully this vague reply might help someone somewhere..
If I could add photos to this it would be much more helpful.
